The Turks & Caicos Islands were hit by two Hurricanes - Hurricane Hanna and Hurricane Ike - in the space of less than one week this September. Ike hit our shores as a dangerous Category 4 storm, while Hanna hovered in our vicinity for 3 days, dumping torrential rains. While our main tourist center of Providenciales escaped serious damage and is back up and running, the islands of South Caicos, Salt Cay and our historic capital of Grand Turk took direct hits and suffered extensive damage. We are fortunate no lives were lost or serious injuries occurred, but we have tremendous re-building challenges ahead.
This web site is meant to keep all residents, investors and other interested parties informed as to our progress on relief and rebuild efforts. For those in need, it will provide information on how to request and receive critical housing, food, financial and other assistance.
For the rest of the world outside these effected areas, this site will allow you to contribute either monetarily, with donations of goods or services, or in some other meaningful way.
We encourage you to be as generous as possible and contribute to the official TCI Government sanctioned Ike Relief Fund established and overseen by Misick & Stanbrook Law Firm in Providenciales. Information on how to contribute is located here.
We are a strong country with strong people and we will re-build. We thank you for any and all support.
